Q: What is the best friction modifier to buy for a 9.75 Ford Trac Lok limited slip differential?
I am switching a 2004 F150 9.75 rearend open carrier over to a limited slip Ford Trac Lok differential.Is there a good gear lube out there with a friction modifier already in it or should i just use regular gear lube and a small bottle of friction modifier?What brand modifier to get then?What do you recommend using?Thanks.

Q: How much would a stock ford laser engine cost for a 1990 to1993 laser?
Need to know because thinking of buying a ford laser that's done a bit to many km's and I need to know if it breaks down a new engine won't cost to much

Q: Can any auto dealership make a duplicate key for my Ford or does it have to be a Ford dealership?
Purchased 1999 Ford Expedition from Chrysler/Jeep dealership, I was only given 1 key and no remote even though the vehicle is remote capable with a security system that is activated by a remote. I think they should have at least provided 2 keys. Can they make a key or does it have to be made by a Ford dealer?

Q: How do you bypass a Ford fuel pump relay ?
I have a 89 Ford E150 5.0L fuel injected van with dual gas tanks
that has sat for 5 years.
It now has a no-start condition.
Fuel pumps are working, has compression and spark.
And, the injectors seem to be passing gas.
It has to be bad gas.
I want to empty the gas tank of all this old gas,
without having to drop the tanks.
I want to jumper the fuel pump relay
so that the fuel pump will run continuously without cranking the engine.
That way I can disconnect the fuel line and
pump the tank into buckets.
My question is ,
How do I jumper the relay?
Where is the relay and what does it look like?
What points get jumped to each other?

A: Under the hood on passenger side, hanging on the firewall
The color of the wires are Orange w/lite blue, Yellow, Red, and Tan w/green . (4 wires)
With the key on; jumper the orange/blue wire with the yellow.
(Yellow is hot orange goes to the tank.)
Q: What is the difference between Ford 302 engines?
I want to know what kind differences they are for the Ford 302 engines. Also which 302 engine blocks had 4 bolt main bearing caps? Also which cars and trucks came with these engines? Thanks!

Q: Need advice on choosing a Ford or Mazda that is good on gas mileage?
What are Ford and Mazda cars (model years 2000 and up) that are smaller/good on gas mileage? Trying to find a mom car!

Mazda 3 is the most reliable car in Europe - ever.

Mileage
As for mileage, for the 2000 model year you'd be better off with Mazda - Brother's 1999 Mazda Protege with 225,000 miles with a 1.8 liter engine runs at 36 mpg. My old 2.0 liter 1998 Mazda 626 (auto) has average at 30mpg with 100,000 miles.
Untill 2001-2, Ford used their own engines, which were then replaced with Mazda's MZR powerplants (that goes for all Ford Duratec bradned engines between 1.5 and 2.5 so the mileage got more levelled.
General comments
However, Mazda has alway had better chassis than Ford in comparable models.
Just for the record, we never had any problems with our cars. Nor had our father with his 2002 Mazda6 2.3 liter and Mazdaspeed6.
To sum up - late generation Protege, say 2002-2003, would serve your mother well. Little more upmarket you'd have an early 2002 Mazda6, slightly larger and more comfortable.
P.S. Ford owns Volvo Cars, but it doesn't own Mazda. Ford is the largest single share-owner (33.9%) and doesn't have decisive majority. Volvo, Mazda and Ford co-develop nad share many components, especially in European models (Mazda3, Volvos C30, S40, V40 and European Ford Focus share jointly developed chassis platform). US Focus is a different car.
The only Mazda that is a rebadged Ford is Mazda Tribute. All other Mazda cars are developed and manufactured by Mazda.
You may be interested to know, that a Jaguar X-type is essentially a previous generation Ford Mondeo. Even some body parts are 100% identical. Ford recently sold Jaguar to Indian manufacturer TATA.
Q: What are signs that my ford expedition needs a tuneup?
My sister has a 1997 ford expedition xlt and i was wondering what are some sign for this specific suv that it needs a tuneup? Some of the sign i see is when you are driving it the engine sounds different than it use to sound ( know it sounds more like a tracter engine and before it sounded like a 5.4 L triten engine) and one thing it has dual rear exit exhaust. And one more thing i noticed is that when you first takes off it shakes real bad.

I want to change my spark plugs, (Ford wants to charge me $200) but the plugs near the firewall seem tough to get at.
Do mechanics use mirrors or what?
A: Actually the one guy is kinda right you can remove the cowl panel at the windshield however it is a little bit more involved you must remove the wiper arms (15mm nut), unplug the washer hose, remove the 4 plastic push pins at the cowl then pull upward to remove off it's clips before completely pulling it off feed the wiper hose you unplugged through the grommet then there are about 9 8mm bolts holding down the lower cowl remove the pollen filter to get to one of the bolts and make sure you unplug the wiper motor and if it has one the hood light plug then you can get to the plugs getting to them from under the van is pretty tricky too

Q: What is the average amount of miles per gallon for an old ford mondeo?
I know there are a lot of thoes fuel calculators but i dont have the information to put into them to work out the miles per gallon. It is not my car and the only thing i know is that its a ford mondeo.

I want to purchase a diesel car and i have narrowed down to two choices, Tata Indigo CS LX and Ford Ikon (diesel). My monthly running will be less than 1000 km on mostly city roads. I want to know the difference in performance of these cars.
My friends advise me that Ford Ikon spares are costly with respect to say Tata Indigo and it will be costly to maintain? Any comments?
