Q: Would a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe be a good first car for a 16 year old?
I am 16 and I really want a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. It is my dream car. I found one for cheap and I really want to get it, but I'm not sure if it would be a good choice as my first car. So, help? [=
When I said it was cheap, I meant it as that it isn't as much as most 1967's would be.
And I understand that it would most likely take some fixing up. I am all for that.
A: I would have to say that it is probably not a good idea. The biggest problem you will have is reliability. Older cars were never as reliable as they are now, and being 42 years old is only going to make that worse. A classic Mustang that is "cheap" is going to cost you in the long run.
Get something a little more modern for your 1st car. There are plenty of years left to own Mustangs, and when you have more money you will be able to afford one that is in good condition.
Q: how much is a 1967 ford mustang gta worth?
how much is a 1967 ford mustang gta worth ? in general terms decent condition? please specify which currency you mean
cheers
A: While it's a nice collectible it isn't worth $100,000 U.S. as some believe. To get a reasonable idea go to http://www.nadaguides.com . Click on "classic" cars and then on "collectibles". Depending on the body style, the engine, and other options it can run close to $30,000 U.S. The biggest thing though, with any collectible car is, "It's only worth what someone will pay".
Q: what is the best engine for a 1967 ford mustang gt fastback?
can i put a 4.6-liter SOHC V8 Engine in a 1967 ford mustang gt fastback?..
or whats the best engine for a 1967 ford mustang gt fastback?
tnx,,
A: FIRST THING-upgrade brakes!!! THEN- Depends on what you wanna do...#1-go computerized for best mileage with power, #2-do wheelstands every gear, or #3- GO FAST, burn gas! #1-You could put in an SOHC 4.6,*BUT* a DOHC would be better- you'll have to install the engine electric, also( might as well use the tranny, too!) find a place to mount the computer, and make mount brackets(probably). And get dummy sensors for the smog If you wanna go brute power, #2-it IS (sorta) true that "there's no substitute for cubes"( a big block/FE) but then, that's just SORTA !-#3- I'll put my 289 against an FE(or a 351Cleveland) any day!!
Q: How much would a 1967 Ford Mustang GT 390 go for these days?
Its still has its original engine and its still in top running condition..
30k huh? Not bad, considering that the dealer is only asking for P250,000 (that's Philippine Pesos, about $5,000)..Thought it needs a better paint job and the interior needs changing..Do you guys think its a good enough offer?
A: The 1967 Mustang big block is one of the most sought after collectible cars on the market.
It's auction value will depend entirely on the option packages, the condition of the car and the originality.
The auction prices for a show condition original will start at $50,000 and could go much higher if it's the right car at the right auction with the right buyers bidding.
Q: How much would a 1967 ford mustang 6 cylinder running fair condition sell for?
What would i get for this if i sold it. I bought the car for $2,500 and cleaned it up some. any idea how much it would run for?
A: 5,000 to 15,000
Q: How much does a 1967 Ford Mustang cost?
A fastback, to be exact. My dad used to have this car before it was wrecked and always loved driving with him when I was a kid. Now I want this car for myself, but can't seem to find it. I live in NYC, but am willing to travel for one wherever common.
But if found in NYC, where can I go for one, and what's the average price tag for this classic beauty?
A: that is a very popular car, and even the beaters are expensive, a driver starts at $10k and up from there.. blame it on Eleanor ..
check all the classifieds and don't forget ebay, even the parts section for parts cars and projects..
Q: What are the differences between 1966 and 1967 ford mustang fastbacks?
A: To an inexperienced eye, they look quite a bit alike. But they aren't.
The 67 Mustangs are about two inches wider and longer to start with. This added room under the hood for big block engines and slightly more interior room. NONE of the body parts are compatible except the windshield. All the interior was changed around and the dash restyled.
Some of the front suspension is different too.
Which one you like better is just a matter of taste, both have their good points. Google up some pictures of both, put them side by side and you can spot many the differences yourself.
Q: What parts would i need to build a 1967 ford mustang fastback from scratch?
i have an idea of where to get the body but its like $16,000 so maybe if someone could find a cheaper one that would be awesome that all =)
A: mustangs unlimited has every part available and at a fairly reasonable price, go to there website at mustangsunlimted.com
Q: Where can i place my engines computer on a 1967 ford mustang?
as of right now the computer is located in the right front door kick panel. need a new place to put it because im gonna put new kick panels in it
A: Not much room under the dash, you might have to put it in the glove box.. or under the passenger seat..
Q: Question about 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe parking brake?
My dad has a 1967 Mustang Coupe. The floor boards have been replaced. He needs to know the exact location where the parking brake equalizer mount is welded to the floor board. There are no listings for this in Chiltons or any of the other books he has. Any suggestions?
A: Try Vintage Mustang.com and get on their forum, Basicly a chat room for Mustang owners, and rebuilders, there you will find someone that will hook you up.
Good luck

Q: i have a 1967 ford mustang and my alternator gauge is reading towards the big C, what does this mean?
67 mustang with a 5.0L. The alternator belt area sqeaks when it rains (has been raining). Water does get on the battery. Today the alternator was all the way to The big C. i dont know what this mean, and what do i do to fix it??
A: It means you have no idea what you're talking about, and you need to take it to a professional, to have a new muffler bearing installed.
