Q: Most HP for a 2000 Ford Mustang Modification?
I own a 2000 Ford Mustang. The engine is all stock. I would like some input in what I need to put into this car in detail to make it the baddest car in my town. Fastest off the start and as much horse as I can put into this stock engine. When its all said and done, I do not want to go over $5,000-$6,000. Am I better off in modifying this engine or do I need to look into a bigger, rebuilt engine to get what I am looking for? Please give me answers in detail in what I need and where I can find it for the best $.
A: If you want the baddest stang in town for 5-6K you'd better live in a real small town. No matter what you do, there is always someone faster. Rousch makes a supercharger, and NOS will boost the power. When you get all this power, better start thinking about getting it to the ground. So now you'd best beef up the rest of the drive line, then let's get to the brakes to stop this thing.
You can start with a crate engine, make sure the lower end can support all the horses. Use a forged crank, hipo rods and pistons. Like anything you have to start with a good foundation and build on top of it. Good luck
Q: Where is the fuel pump relay on a 2000 Ford Mustang V6?
HELP! Our 2000 Mustang is having fuel issues. I'd like to replace the fuel pump relay first, but WHERE THE HECK IS IT? It's not where the Chilton says it is (near the radiator). Also, is it hard to replace the fuel pump if we have to? Thanks...you guys will be lifesavers!
A: The reason you can't find the fuel pump relay is because it is integrated into the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module). Unfortunately, if any one component fails, the entire unit must be replaced. It should be located on the inside of the right front fender.
Also - I had several Ford dealers tell me there was a fuel pump relay located in the engine fuse box for this car - don't believe them if they tell you this, there is no relay in the engine fuse box, only a fuel pump fuse.
Q: Is this a good price for a 2000 ford mustang?
I was wondering if $6000 is good for a 2000 ford mustang that has 74,000 on it. The owner said the car had a slight fender bender when it was icy but that was completely repaired and the mechanic confirmed that there was no structural damage. And the owners also said it only had three owners and that there is no rust on it. Thanks
A: Depends on other info,GT,Cobra,or V6,convertible or hard top? I suppose though you are refering to a v6 hardtop,it's a halfway decent price! Let's put it this way you're not getting screwed as long as what you say is true about the car now being mechanically sound!

I am planning to buy a 2000 Ford mustang with 105000 miles on it, There is an engine check light on it but the owner tells me it is a small problem with the hydrogen pump sensor which I am not sure. Can anyone tell me whether is it okay to buy a 2000 ford mustang with so many miles on it and how long does an average mustang last.
A: If it was a small problem,he should fix it before you buy it. you could go to a auto parts store and have them scan the computer before you buy it to find out the real reason the check engine light is on and ask them how much it would be to fix

i don't know a whole lot about cars, but i just bought an 2000 ford mustang gt convertible, and it all is stock but the exhaust i think i can't tell but all what i really want to do is just make it sound like it's going to eat the other cars lol, and make it have some get up and go acceleration, can you help plz?
A: Best way is to add a cold air intake it will boost performance and makes that car burn that fuel nice. Also a turbo or supper-charger is great if you tend to spend a good amount of money. A super will look better than a turbo but one thing is a turbo is FREE power while a super takes power to make power. A good engine chip changing the fuel mix and output can always bump up your ride to a higher level and you can always change it to get the perfect match that you want. A replacement of the stock cams and through on a performance header and exhaust will make that pony sound like it is a muscle car and not just a pony car.
If you want to go from cheapest to most money it would go like this.
1. Cold Air Intake.
2. A power chip system.
3. Turbo or super
4. Cams and header/exhaust.

ok, i was in car accident & it was the other cars fault. their insurance contacted me & said that damages are beyond repair. damages are 5k plus. so, they just might pay me what my car is worth. & i need to know wats the value of a 2000 ford mustang now days in the blue book to get an idea?
A: Look it up at http://www.nadaguides.com. Be aware though that the insurance companies don't necessarily go by the book. They use a local area average to determine what they think your car is worth. It doesn't always come up to what the book says.
Q: About how fast is a 2000 Ford Mustang GT with these upgrades?
Ok I was going to race this kid today but he didnt want to but cuz the roads were a little damp and ever since i have been tryin to figure out about how fast his car is until we race.
His car is a 2000 Mustang with the following known upgrades: Headers/Exhaust(sounds like hes still running a cat though), Cold air intake, 4:10 gears, wider then stock tires i have now clue what they are tho, maybe 10" wide, but thats just my guess. And thats really all the info I have on the car. Personally I dont know a great deal about mustangs and how much he would gain from these upgrades. So my question is for anyone that knows mustangs, about how much hp has he gained from these upgrades (260hp stock)? Also about what do you think he would run in the quarter with these upgrades with say a decent drive/decent road???
A: considering a completely stock 2000 mustang gt runs a 14.1 1/4 mile I would think his would be a little quicker. I love people and the awsome amount of drag knowlege they have.

with the info you have provided, he wont have big hp numbers but because of the wider tires and gears his 1/4 mile time will be faster.
i would guess his flywheel hp is around 300-320 tops. If he is running drag radial tires on the rears then he can probally run around a 13.2-13.3 1/4 mile on the street. If they arent drag radials, he will probally be around a 13.6-13.7 1/4 mile on the street. If you go to a track you can take around 0.2 secs off due to the sticky surface found at a track.
