I purchased a new fuel filter for my 2003 ford mustang, I was just wondering where it was located. I don't know if i have to take out the fuel tank or it is located somewhere under the car. What causes severe road noise with my 2003 Mustang GT? Is it tires, wheel bearings, or something else.

A: Unfortuneately without more information It's hard to determine for sure. Usually wheel bearing noise will change pitch and sound when cornering, tires will not. What speeds do you notice it at exactly? what kind of noise? I've seen tires that have not been rotated in a while cause road noise as they scallop from hitting in the same place time and time again... Usually tire will get worse as you speed up and won't go away when the car is put in neutral.... HAven't had any issues with wheel bearings on those vehicles.. had a few with a rear end noise but most were either custom exhaust hitting the car or tire related.

A: 90k is nothing like the others said, my 96 has 170k and its the same motor just different heads. I say run it till it blows and then replace. If you insist on a new motor you can buy crate motors on ebay that have 0miles on them but will cost you $3,2025(i know cause ive looked for mine) or you can check car-parts.com and might find a used one with 30k for $1000 but they dont come with any acc and would have to use the one on your car now. The pulling and install isnt tooo bad, drain trans fluid, remove drive shaft, disconnect a/c lines and everything up top, disconnect struts and pull springs and then unbolt the k-member and you can just lift the body off the motor.
