Q: I have a 2004 Ford F150, I had the windows tinted and they squeal when raised and lowered.?
I had tint put on at a well known business in my home town... I have asked everyone who works there if they knew of remedies to stop the squeal and no one knows. Can someone please help, this noise is irritating.
A: Spray some silicone lubricant onto the window runners.
Q: Will a Billet grille that is supposed to fit '99-03 ford f150 fit a 2004 ford f150 old bodystyle?
What are the dimensions of the 99-03 grille and the 04 grille?
A: Yes, it will fit, these trucks were basically a 2003 model that was not sold when new body style came out.
Q: how do i tell if my 2004 ford f150 came with a remote start?
Ok I'm on nights and meant to say remote entry
ok i took it to a dealer, they told me if it entered programing mode then it had it installed they tried, and screwed up. I came home look up proper method and it when into programming mode so i have remote entry just need remote from dealer thanks to all
A: In 2004 a remote starter was NOT a factory option. So your truck didn't come with one.
If one was ever installed , it would have been an aftermarket item added by a previous owner.
Q: 2004 F150 Ford Power Steering problem?
I have a 2004 Ford F150 and the power steering went out. I just got it back from a friend this weekend. I had a question posted on here earlier about why my power steering went out but thats neither here nor there now. I drove it and OMG, i couldnt turn the wheel very well, it stuck like glue then it would loosen as i went straight, and when i would try and turn it was like i had to turn into the incredible hulk LOL. What was weird was it was very jerky around corners, almost couldnt turn at all.
So my question is....Can someone walk me through the steps to fix it? Im going to do it myself. I have the tools but I have never done this before, but am not afraid to do it. I just need to know what to do. So if one of you Fantastic Ford Mechanics *wink can help a girl out...I would very much appreciate it :-)

Additional Details
i wanted to add something. The person who had my truck said that moisture is what is causing the problem, could it be cause it sat for 4 months and was driven very little that made it get moisture in there? Should i try the conditioner first and does that dry up moisture? And also Im okay with replacing the pump if i have to but is there a way to find out if thats really what needs to be done first, or should i just do it? *sigh lol....I love my truck :-)

UPDATE: I purchased lucas stop leak power steering fluid and also ATF fluid which is what was recommended for 2004 Ford F150. I emptied pump with a baster until it was dry, i added half lucas and half ATF. I drove it, and was turning corners for about 15 minutes. Nothing changed, but also there are no leaks from the hoses or pump, so what else could make it stick like this. When i turn it gets stuck then lets loose for one second then it sticks real bad then lets loose again. Whats my next step? I dont want to replace a pump if its not bad, and if it is bad is there a way to tell, because like i said, there are no leaks :(

Sorry i almost forgot.....what do you guys and girls think of this. The cylinder with fluid off the master cylinder was Dark Green almost flourescent, but yet a Hunter Green. I took a sample into Napa to show them and they said brake fluid will turn dark brown if its dirty, but not green. And no it wasnt my overflow(the overflow with coolant is right next to it. Im sooo confused as to why this is green and not real thick. Although my brakes feel fine but then again i havent driven it much cuz i cant right now because i cant steer it. Any suggestions? Thank you :-)

A: Antifreeze is green and slick and if it's on your power steering belt you'll get intermittant power steering as the belt slips- probably without squeaking. If your "friend's" dog sniffs the green fluid and likes the taste, it is antifreeze. It will kill the dog, so don't let him drink any.
Check the belt on your power steering. Make sure it's properly tightened. Make sure the pulleys are clean and dry.
Flush out your power steering and replace the corruption with power steering fluid. Change the belt and clean the pulleys. Never lend your car again.
Q: 2004 Ford F150 Service and price question?
Now i own a 2004 Ford F150 and in my owners manual i have a digit code to unlock my door but i dont possess a keypad? how much would a keypad run me and i also need to take the truck in for its 60,000 mile maintenance service and what does that involve and how much would that run me?
A: The 60,000 mile maintenance service includes an oil change, tire rotation, fuel filter, air filter, transmission flush, and fuel injection flush. The cost of that service should run in the price range of about $450. If theres not a slot for a keypad on your driver's front door, that digit code wont be of any help. In that case, you would need a keyfob, which runs about $50 for the part and $20 to program it.
Q: Where can I find an HID light system for my 2004 Ford F150?
I'm looking for a good quality HID conversion light system for my truck. I see a bunch on ebay for about 20-40 bucks but are they any good?? Price really doesn't matter just quality
A: Just go and search for HID kit that has the 9007 bulb. You can use the one's for a 1994-2004 mustang they are the exact same thing.
Q: Is there a relay for the fuel pump on a 2004 ford f150.?
There is nothing in the owners manual telling which relay or fuse is for the fuel pump. I have seen many people asking the same question when researching online, but cannot find an answer. My model is an extended cab STX 4x4. Any help on identifying which relay or fuse it is would be helpful.
A: Hello, you may need to go to a ford dealership and ask for a copy of the fuel pump relay and fuse diagram. I am sure that there is one. Good Luck

A: Find another dealer - one with an experienced technician that knows how to set up a differential properly.
Q: 2004 ford f150 XL loop in the back?
I bought a used 2004 f150 xl regular cab and there is a random loop inside made of seatbelt material coming out of the back right under the rear sliding window. what is this for?
A: probably the middle row seat belt is stuck under the seat and you need to pull it lose.
