Q: How much can I sell my 2002 Honda Civic Dx for?
I have a Honda Civic Dx 2002 with 74k miles on it. With an updated major tune up and inspection this year. No accidents. How much do you think my car would sell for?
A: $5000.
Q: Can you lock a 2002 Honda Civic without they keys?
Can you manually lock the front doors of the car without pressing the remote control's "Lock" button or without inserting the key to manually lock it?
Lol I am not a blonde. Obviously push the buttons down. But do you have to pull back on the handle when you close it or what?
A: On some cars, after you push the lock button, you need to hold the outside door handle up (open position) while you close the door or it will not lock.
Q: What are the best speakers to buy for a 2002 Honda Civic coupe?
When I bought the car, the stereo was replaced but I would like to replace the factory speakers with after market ones.
A: If you are going with mid range speakers for the doors and back then go with pionner or alpine,if you are going with subs then go with Kicker Comp subs.
Q: How do I get the panel off the door on my 2002 honda civic?
How hard would it be for a non mechanic to replace the window motor on passenger front side? Do I need special tools?Where do I start? Is the part expensive?THANKS for any info
A: I own both a 2002 Civic and Accord and while I haven't had the door panel off the Civic, I have had the rear drivers door apart on the Accord to replace the window regulator. Thinking about that experience combined with what I would expect in the Civic, you should be able to do it with just basic tools, screwdriver... metric wrenches.
The most important thing to remember is DON'T FORCE IT. If it doesn't do what you think "it" should be doing stop and check your actions before you break something... with so many plastic clips and fasteners you'll save yourself time with a little caution.
Now, if my memory serves you should be able to find the seam at the bottom of the door and loosen the panel there, then work your way around the edge - there should just be clips every so far that just pull away from the door with a little pressure. There are probably about eight clips holding the door panel down to the actual door. As you pull the door panel off, watch for all the wiring, there's probably quite a bit if you have power door locks, windows, etc.
For the motor once you have the panel off, disconnect the wiring to the motor.. there's probably a multi-prong plug with a "clip" which you have to depress to get it to let loose. When you take the motor out be careful as the metal outline of the door can really tear up your hands. Once you've got the old motor out figuring out how to put the old one back should be easy to do (manuvering the new motor into the door can be a pain in the butt).
I'm not sure as to the cost of a new motor... my guess would be it'll be something you can only get from the dealer so expect $75 or more.
Also, I did not disconnect the power when I worked on my window regulator but it's probably not a bad idea to disconnect the power to the windows by removing the fuse for that system.
Good luck.

Q: Should I sell my 2002 Honda civic?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic with 118,000 miles on it. I'm the first owner and have taken good care of the it. It runs and looks great. I've been thinking of selling it lately to buy something (probabley another Honda or Toyota) with lower miles.
Should I sell it or keep it?
A: I think you should bring it to a honda dealer and see what you can get in on a trade because hondas have the best resale value out there and see what you can get just make sure they match or give you better then the blue book price

Q: How do you bypass the Anti-Theft System on a 2002 Honda Civic?
Me and my dad are trying to make a race car out of it, but the green key light lights up when we try to crank it up, and it won't start.
A: You cant...........the vehicle depending on the model has several items that work together so that this feature functions correctly including the (ECM/PCM) along with the in tank internal solenoid...
Q: When I start my 2002 Honda Civic, the SRS light flashes and the bell chimes six times. What does that mean?
Does it mean that the supplemental restraint system has a problem or does it (the six chimes) indicate something else? It only chimes six times at start up and then the SRS light goes off.
A: It is probably the self test, making sure the sensors are functioning...it goes away, and stays off, right?
Computerized cars do a number of "checks" right at start up, to make sure the different systems are giving correct signals...if the computer decides it has all the right signals, all the warning lights go off and stay off...if something is wrong, the light stays on, telling "you" that something is wrong, and to get it repaired. It is called interaction...
Q: I have a 2002 Honda Civic which will not start., it cranks a little? What could that be?
A: Okay lets start first with small problems before going to a bigger one. It could be your battery is already weak or its getting drained. If it has a dead cell, it will not anymore accept and hold charge and it will be hard for your fuel pump to function properly. You just have to replace it. If its getting drained, check your alternator belts first if its loose or . If its fine, check all the wirings in your battery, starter and alternator, it could also a loose wiring causing the drain. Look also for shorted wire in your car that can also cause battery drain. If everything is okay, you have to check whether your alternator is working properly. Hope this helps!
